The Ortus Piano Trio, based in London, features violinist Daniel Pukach, cellist Lucy Gijsbers, and pianist Tal Walker.
Founded in 2024, The Ortus Piano Trio is a London-based ensemble featuring Daniel Pukach (violin), Lucy Gijsbers (cello), and Tal Walker (piano). The trio debuted with performances at St Mary Le Strand and toured several venues in Antwerp, Belgium, showcasing their Mendelssohn-Fauré programme to critical acclaim.
Regularly performing with top UK orchestras such as the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra, violinist Daniel Pukach is a founding member of the Waldstein Quartet and has served as a junior fellow at Trinity Laban. Cellist, Lucy Gijsbers graduated with an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music, where she was an RCM Scholar under the guidance of Thomas Carroll. She performs with prestigious orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Young Steinway Artist, Tal Walker studied piano at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and is currently pursuing his PhD at the Royal College of Music. His career includes performances with orchestras, invitations to artist residencies internationally, and the release of his acclaimed debut album.
